Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner out and about in 2011
After getting attacked by five thugs Saturday night after some sort of verbal fight in Hollywood, Avril Lavigne and boyfriend Brody Jenner have put their trust on the side of the law and filed a police report about the incident.
PEOPLE reports that after having what Brody Jenner called the “best night out with the love of [his] life”, (Avril Lavigne), the two lovebirds, who have been dating for almost two years now, were involved in a nasty altercation outside of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which left both of them bloodied and bruised.
Naturally, as anybody would do after such a horrifying event, the pair tweeted about the incident. Lavigne, 27, stated, “I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f––ed. As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer.”
Reality star Jenner, 28, followed with, “Interesting Saturday night… Just got of the hospital with a new scar on my face.. Charges/chargers!!!”
Luckily, common sense came over the former Hills star, because, instead of fighting crime with social networking, he made a trip to the LAPD and filed a police report citing “assault with a deadly weapon” for the Saturday night incident.
Police are still gathering details about the brawl, but it’s been confirmed Jenner was hit in the head with a bottle during the fight.
Nobody was arrested at the scene, but an ambulance arrived to give Jenner some care. Apparently Lavigne bailed before the police arrived. Whaaaat?
So many weird things going on in this story… I find it interesting that Avril “Miss Complicated” Lavigne, who has been known for her aggressive behavior in the past (she has spit on photographers before, and promised to punch any girl that was “going after” her man –see quote here), gets in some sort of verbal argument with some drunks outside of a bar, then, instead of hanging around with her boyfriend for the police to arrive, runs off and tweets about it instead. Where is the sense in that??
I don’t believe violence is EVER the answer, but I am curious to see what really went down outside of the Hollywood bar when the truth finally comes out. We’ll see.
