Duggars: 20 Kids Deep … and Counting

The Duggars expecting 20th child in April 

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have announced that they will be having their 20th child on this morning’s TODAY.

The whole thing just ended up creeping me out. Not only do I disagree with them having 20 kids (who needs that many children?) but their sense of humor had me WTF’ing throughout the entire interview.

Michelle, 45, told Anne Curry: “We really are excited, we are expecting our 20th child. We are due in April and are just thrilled.” Suddenly Jim Bob (why does his name make this story so much better?) cuts in and blurts out, “I don’t know how that happened!” and the entire family bursts into this boisterous, skeevy laugh that surely made everyone else on the set uncomfortable. At least it made me uncomfortable.  It was like they all paused for a moment to imagine it:

When asked if this child was planned Michelle replied: “I was not thinking that God would give us another one, and we are just so grateful.”

Yep, God is passing out babies and the Duggars are always on his list.

Anne Curry took a stab at trying to get a few of the younger boys to say that maybe they weren’t so excited to have yet another sibling. She didn’t succeed, but the boys didn’t look too sure about it, did they?

Looks like 19 Kids and Counting on TLC is going to have to change its name. Any suggestions?
