Madonna Launching “Truth or Dare”: First Perfume, Second Clothing Line

 

Madonna and her “Truth or Dare” perfume, coming to a Macy’s near you!

Madonna recently announced that she will be launching her second fashion label “Truth or Dare” in the near future, and to accompany the line, she will be adding a fragrance with the same name.

According to the Telegraph, the clothing line, which is said to be a “lifestyle range aimed at a more mature customer”, will include handbags, shoes, and other accessories, along with her perfume, that will be the first to debut, starting in America in April 2012 at your local Macy’s. I can only imagine the perfume would smell of some ‘loathsome hydrangeas’.

Talking about the addition of a perfume with Women’s Wear Daily, Madonna, 53, says, “I have always been obsessed by fragrance, and for years I wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me but that other people could relate to as well. Something honest, and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare.” Clever.

So, for ‘reals’, the fragrance is supposed to be floral, with a mix of “narcotic flowers, balanced with addictive woods and vanilla blended to create a scent that is timeless, yet modern, and dark and light by turns. The bottle plays up this duality, being a classic and sophisticated shape, with edgy detailing.”

To me the bottle looks like it should be holding Holy Water. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t a mistake on Madonna’s part.

If you are so inclined, you can look out for not only her fashion line and perfume, but multiple bath accessories from the “Material Girl”, once they hit store shelves early next year.
