Thank goodness I came across this gem, because it seriously made my day, and it wouldn’t be nice of me not to share it with you Smackaholics, so here goes…
It’s nothing new that many artists (famous and not) have attempted to cover Lady Gaga’s songs, her song “Bad Romance” being one of the more popular choices, but to hear a large group of Chinese senior citizens belt it out in a choir? Yeah, that’s pretty original…and entertaining!
The sweet, elderly choir gave it their all and covered the 25-year-old pop star’s “Bad Romance” on the Hunan Television’s Mid-Autumn Festival Gala stage in China, reports the Huffington Post, and they did NOT disappoint!
The glee club even made it their own and added personal touches, including funky fun dance moves and some lyrical mix-ups. Apparently, the original chorus’ lead-in that “I want your love/Love, love, love/I want your love”, was cleverly changed to “So busy/Busy, busy, busy/So busy”. Ha! Loves it!
It’s funny, it’s always in the ‘bizarre’ that I find comfort. Go figure.
Anyway, if you wanna smile, check out the cover below and tell us what you think!
Okay, so maybe I got excited in all of the hoopla. Not so much elderly, as ‘older’? They’re all looking good for their age, that’s for sure! More power to them. :)
“Sweet elderly”?!? I’ll give you middle aged but those people are far from “elderly.”
