Never one to keep his views mum, “Shock Jock” Howard Stern told his listeners what he thought about the Academy Awards’ decision to give Brett Ratner the boot on being the producer for the 2012 awards show.
If you recall, Ratner made some controversial comments on Stern’s show, which was one of the reasons the director was asked to resign from the show. According to The Examiner, Stern is calling BS, saying that this is nothing more than a big pile of hypocrisy. Period.
Stern did make a good point when he said he finds it ironic that the entertainment industry (Hollywood, which includes the Academy Awards), that accepts people (and even hands out awards to) like Roman Polanski, given the crimes he has committed, decides that Ratner isn’t worth, even though all he made were some idiotic comments. Stern claims he did not approve of Ratner’s comments, but adds that the comments weren’t intended to bash homosexuals.
