Sasha Grey Reads To Children

I wish Sasha Grey would read me a story sometime. 

Former porn star Sasha Grey read to a bunch of first and third graders at an elementary school in Compton, prompting parental outrage. 

There’s a major uproar in Compton, and no, it has nothing to do with any rappers, drug dealers, the Crips, the Bloods or gang bangers… well, scratch that last one. That’s what it’s all about. 

Emerson Elementary School in Compton has come under fire from some outraged parents after Sasha Grey was invited to the school to read to some first and third graders as part of the Read Across America program. Who’s Sasha Grey, you uninformed might ask? Oh, she’s just the former porn star who earned the AVN award for Best Anal Sex Scene as recently as 2010… but it’s okay, because she’s went mainstream by appearing on ENTOURAGE and starring in the Steven Soderbergh film THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIMENT. Grey tweeted about the experience, and then the parents just lost it. They bitched to the PTA. The PTA bitched to the principal. Then the school tried to cover up that any of this ever happened.

Oh, man… don’t they know the cover-up is ten times worse than the actual happening? Stupid school district. 

A rep for the district told TMZ, “We have several celebrities who read to our students each year. The actress you have indicated [Sasha] was not present.” The problem with this whole plan is that TMZ also has pictures of Sasha Grey reading to students at Emerson Elementary School. Ohhh… busted.

Frankly, I don’t know what the big deal is. As long as she wasn’t reading Asian Sluts Galore or something along those lines to the kids, where’s the harm? Do parents honestly think kids that age even know who Sasha Grey is?

If you can get a kid to stop watching TV and pick up a book these days, you should consider it a success. If it takes a hot chick with moderately sized breasts who once guzzled man juice for a living to prompt a young man to become interested in MOBY DICK, so be it. I don’t know how to increase readership in young girls, but… reading is fundamental. They’ll figure something out.
