Fan Gets To Play Drums With Avenged Sevenfold

A7X

How cool would it be if you were asked up on stage to play drums (considering you knew how, I don’t unfortunately) with one of your favorite bands during a concert you were attending?

That’s exactly what one fan got to do when Avenged Sevenfold played at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico on Saturday night (November 19, 2011).

The story goes like this…The lucky A7X fan was holding up a sign that said, “My wish is to play drums”, and according to Deathbat News, singer M. Shadows saw the sign and made the fan’s dream come true! The fan got to choose which song he wanted to jam to and chose “Second Heartbeat”, which was off 2003’s Waking the Fallen. So cool!

I’m thinking this is a concert that this particular fan will NEVER forget!

One more thing from this particular concert, the band got a major compliment from the Puerto Rican radio station Alfa Rock, regarding their Saturday night show…here is an excerpt from it:

“Avenged Sevenfold proved beyond doubt that they are one of the best bands of our time. The band sounded super powerful. The band’s guitarists (Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance) are masters on their instruments. Bassist Johnny Christ, with charisma on stage, has a great sound and a good command of his instrument. Singer M Shadows never failed with his voice. He also has stage presence and great charisma. And, as already mentioned in this column, drummer Arin Ilejay posses an extraordinary technique and was a good choice for the band. The group did not need confetti, giant screens, explosions or lasers to give a great concert or for their fans to have fun with the music. With simple stage and lighting the band gave a concert that many of us are going to remember for the rest of our lives.”

Very nice!
