This week on the Walking Dead, Glenn spills the beans on all the secrets of the farm like Lori’s pregnancy with Shane’s baby, Maggie’s intimate relationship with him, and the walkers inside the hay barn.
The episode starts off where Otis’ wife snaps a chicken’s leg, stuffs the chicken in a bag filled with others then climbs into the hay barn. She feeds the walkers the chickens. Dale confronts the farmer about the walkers and asks why they are in there. The response he gets is that they are ‘sick not dead.’ While Dale tries to convince him the walkers are not who they once were, the farmer notes that his wife and stepson are among those in there.
On a medical run into town, Maggie and Glenn look for abortion pills for Lori. As Maggie goes to grab some pills a walker grabs her suddenly and Glenn saves her by beating its head in. (Carnage!) This incident causes Maggie to finally see the walkers as they really were.
Shane offers to take everyone gun shooting and Carl wants to tag along but Shane says it’s not up to him. He sees a revolver inside Carl’s shorts and shows it to Rick and Lori. During the gun training Andrea outshines the rest. Shane takes her to moving target practice and nags her to do better. His motivational tactic ends up backfiring on him.
The two go on a search for Sophia in a suburban neighborhood but come up empty handed aside a zombie ambush. After leaving the house Andrea shoots a corpse, hitting it but not killing it. Shane fires once and kills it. After nearly being bitten, Andrea finally shoots one in the dome, and from there goes on a spree of headshots.
When they return, Dale confronts Shane telling him to leave, which angers Shane who threatens him. Lori tells Rick she is pregnant, and then that it’s Shane’s child.
Next week is the mid-season finale. I hope they pick up the pace on this show, get them off the farm and make it a thriller! Check out the preview here.
