Nikki Sixx Makes a Visit To Veterans, Commits To Help Fundraise

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx visited San Antonio’s Brooke Army Medical Center last Wednesday, and left so inspired by what he saw, that he has pledged to raise money for the medical site.

According to Blabbermouth.net, while at the Brooke Army Medical Center campus at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, Sixx, along with his “Sixx Sense” radio co-host Kerri Kasem, visited with injured military men at the Fisher Houses and the Center For The Intrepid.

The trip touched him so much that he has vowed to use his radio show to raise money for the campus, which opened in 2007, saying, “Kerri and I left feeling inspired and motivated, and have set the wheels in motion to come back and help raise money through ‘Sixx Sense’ for Fisher House and Center For The Intrepid.”

The radio show “Sixx Sense” is syndicated by Premiere Networks, which is a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, which just recently raised over $700,000 for the Fisher House Foundation during a nationwide and weeklong campaign that lead to a radio fundraiser on Veteran’s Day of this year.

Good work Nikki! Just another reason we love the man!

Sixx will be heading back on tour with the Crüe starting December 6, in the U.K., along with Def Leppard and Steel Panther.

    Love Nikki!
    He’s starting to look a little thick….

  3. Suze says:

What did he wake up after decades of long slumber and realize, Hey man, There’s been a war or two and conflicts, and blood and stuff. Wow people get hurt when they play with guns I am touched. But I will continue to dress like in the eighties man and pretend I looook good in this sh*t. Sixx sense… Wow sense..that is sick sense that all he has to do is show up and not contribute any of his own money.

You should consider why you love this douche. Admire his music that’s all you Pinhead.

  4. Cyndy says:

@Suze wow you’re angry. What did Nikki do to you?

His money probably all went to penicillin, blow and whiskey during the 80s but at least he’s out there using his name and “celebrity” to promote a good cause. He’s allowed to learn about things and contribute something besides money. It’s even admirable. Relax.

And Pinhead? Who calls people Pinhead?

    Thanks for the laugh!!!
