Travis Barker Tells Off The Police Officer That Pulled Him Over

Travis Barker

After being pulled over during a routine traffic stop on Sunday, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker claims he is just a victim of authority.

TMZ reports that Barker was pulled over Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, after a police officer noticed Barker’s car was donning illegally tinted windows as well as missing a license plate. Apparently, he was let go with just a warning and a “fix-it” ticket.

Soon after, Barker took to his Twitter to rant about the incident saying, “Officer FARD of LAPD, get a life man. Find some bank robbers or do something productive 2 do with your time. I know high school was hard 4 u”, adding, “Pullin me over interrogating me & acting like u did over tinted windows till u scared the p*ss out my kids was uncalled 4. Job well done man.”

Travis ended the mini tirade, saying, “The cop had the nerve 2 ask if i had any guns in the car? WTF”

After hearing about the angry tweets, Sgt. Riggs of the Topanga Station told TMZ, “I’d like to invite Travis to speak with me about the incident … and possibly discuss the situation with the officers involved.”

Although Travis himself didn’t respond to the offer, his rep told TMZ, “We are handling this privately with the LAPD.”

I highly doubt Barker is going to go have a ‘private’ meeting at the police station. I could understand the frustration you would feel if you were always pulled over because of how you looked (the tattoos in his case, I’m guessing), but to let a fix-it ticket ruin your day? Not so sure about that, but I guess that’s one of the things Twitter is for…venting. So, do you all think Travis overreacted, or does he have a point about unnecessary police harassment?

What a whiny little b*tch. Man up Barker, a cop sees illegal tints and no license plate and you can’t understand why you got pulled over? Not to mention aren’t all the songs that made you famous about being awkward in HS? It’s nice to know you’re too cool to be like the rest of us.
