‘Jersey Shore’ Guido Vinny Raps About Rape

Vinny Guadagnino: Looking as classy as ever!

Leave it to someone from the Jersey Shore to not only attempt to sing a rap song, but also to pretty much offend anybody that hears it.

I’m not sure who the smarty-pants was that thought that having reality show star Vinny Guadagnino sing a rap song was a good business idea, but I wonder if that person still has a job now that the song (and Vinny) are getting such bad press?

After posting a video for the song “Rack City B*tch” on his YouTube channel (which has since been removed), Guadagnino has been getting some backlash from anti-sexual assault advocacy groups.

According to TMZ, the song, which is supposed to be about him hitting up a strip club and picking up a dancer, includes lyrics like, “I ain’t got a girl … You ain’t got a man … I’ve got a date for ya … and it’s in my pants”, and “Yeah I’m takin’ it … I’m a get you naked b*tch … We can f**k and make it fit… boomin s**t and slatin’ it.”

If that wasn’t repulsive enough, the part that really isn’t making fans with advocacy groups is the line, “Actin’ like I’m raping it … f** k her til she fakin’ it”. Umm…yeah I can see how that could be a little offensive.

A rep for the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN) told TMZ, “The lyrics in Vinny Guadagnino’s new rap song that glorify rape are ignorant. Trivializing this violent crime sends a dangerous message to the public. Use of the term ‘actin’ like’ doesn’t mitigate the harm this crime has on survivors of sexual violence.” He adds, “We hope that Mr. Guadagnino will reconsider his stand on this issue and leverage his platform to reinforce a zero tolerance policy for sexual violence, as he has with bullying.”

Upon hearing about the uproar his stupid song caused, Guadagnino took to his Twitter to say, “Whoa! Some people really know how to take things out of context! #LearnToListenToMusic …It was fun though!”

Ugh. Facepalm.

UPDATE: Apparently, Guadagnino has since issued a formal apology, via his blog. He wrote, “I’d like to apologize for the rap. Was meant to be a funny take on an already ‘dirty’ song - funny since I’m known as the ‘good boy’,” adding, “I am 100 percent against violence of any kind. I work with many organizations to stop violence and bullying, and will continue to. It’s something I strongly believe in. Very sorry to anyone I’ve offended.”?
