Canadian Crooner Michael Buble
Just released a little over a month ago, Michael Buble’s Christmas album kickin’ major butt on the charts, and is even beating out other major, top-selling artists like Nickelback and Rihanna.
According to Billboard.com, Christmas is Buble’s third No. 1 album so far, following his 2007 Call Me Irresponsible, and 2009’s Crazy Love, and it is the second holiday album to make the list this year (Justin Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe was the first).
Apparently, the last time two Christmas albums reached No. 1 in the same year was back in 1957, when Elvis Presley’s Elvis’ Christmas Album (one of my holiday faves!) and Bing Crosby’s Merry Christmas made the charts.
Following behind Buble, but still with incredible sales, is Nickelback at the No. 2 spot with Here and Now, and Rihanna with the No. 3 place, with her Talk That Talk.
Glad to see Buble is kickin’ arse and taking names! Although I am not a huge holiday music fanatic, I do have my favorites, like my Elvis Christmas songs. I also went a little music-shopping crazy yesterday and purchased Buble’s Christmas album along with Scott Weiland’s Most Wonderful Time of the Year, which I cannot wait to blast. Since it is now technically December, I won’t feel too nutty rockin’ out to holiday music.
