Former Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih is arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
I’m not sure when celebrities are going to learn not to drink and drive. Believe me… if I can afford a cab ride home after a night of beers and shots, then so can those who are far more well off than I. Why are they even driving to begin with? Aren’t most of them capable of finding someone to chauffeur them around for an evening of boozing? Apparently not, and not even a former Miss USA is able to skirt the law when it comes to driving under the influence.
Miss USA 2010 and former WWE TOUGH ENOUGH contestant Rima Fakih was busted over the weekend in Michigan on suspicion of drunk driving. According to the Detroit Free Press, Fakih became the de factor designated driver when whoever she was with was deemed too inebriated to drive. Fakih got behind the wheel only to learn she was a little too tipsy at the moment, and, when she was pulling over, that’s when she was stopped by police… at least that’s the story her attorney Doraid Elder is spinning. What makes it worse though is that Fakih tweeted on Saturday afternoon, “Let’s clear things up now…. I’m NOT in Michigan and I’m NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih,” a tweet that’s since been deleted and that her lawyer explains was not made by Fakih, but by others with access to the account. ”She is taking full responsibility,” Elder said, “She wants to apologize to everybody she let down.”
Usually the cops don’t just pull people over who are already pulling themselves over to the curb, unless there’s an old lady they drunkenly ran over trapped in the fender, so there’s something here that just doesn’t ring true. And I’m sorry, former Miss USA, but you or someone representing you already lied to us once on Twitter, so excuse me if I’m not quick to buy this BS explanation. You got drunk. You shouldn’t have been driving. Stop with the excuses.
