Police report states former Miss USA Rima Fakih was well above the legal limit when she was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
So much for taking responsibility for her actions. It turns out former Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih is nothing but a liar.
After having her lawyer make claims that she was forced into driving because her companion was far too inebriated to get behind the wheel, the arresting officers for the Detroit Police Department state that she was pulled over after being spotted speeding and weaving through traffic, per TMZ. Hmmm… that’s a pretty big departure from her belief that she was pulling over to the curb as it was, realizing she was a bit too intoxicated to be behind the wheel. Alcohol has been known to cause you to remember things differently from reality though, so that’s no big surprise.
Fakih immediately identified herself as Miss USA before she blew both a .19 and a .20 into the Breathalyzer, more than double the legal limit of .08. A half-empty bottle of wine was then found on the floorboard behind the driver’s seat, so not only was she driving under the influence, she was actually drinking and driving. Shame shame shame. That’s no way to represent the United States of America. I guess it’s safe to say Rima Fakih is set for some legal trouble, probably because she’s not nearly that big enough of a celebrity to get off easy. That’s the true American way.
