12-year-old Chloe McCarty of Blaine, MN posted a YouTube video online about her battle with trichotillomania, a disorder that causes people to pull their hair out, and it ended up inspiring thousands of people.

Chloe’s video struck a chord with Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx (whose birthday is Sunday, btw) who was so touched by the video that he decided to call Chloe personally to thank her for making the video.

Set to the tune of Sixx’s “Skin,” a song from his new band, Sixx: A.M., Chloe held up flash cards telling of her experience with the disorder, how she is bullied at school because of it, and that despite it all, she knows she is a beautiful person.
