Alec Baldwin was booted from an American Airlines (AA) flight last week after having a complete bitch fit when asked to turn off his iPad as instructed by flight attendants.
Instead of following the rules like every other peon, Baldwin instead chose to make a huge scene. Storming off into the bathroom and slamming the door with great force as he gripped his iPad firmly in hand. He used expletives as he ranted at the staff and finally the American Airlines captain made the call to have Baldwin removed from the airplane. The flight was delayed and passengers were not impressed with Alec’s poor manners.
As long as you possess common sense you know that Alec Baldwin was in the wrong. Plain and simple. A first class ticket, a star on Hollywood Blvd, or even an Academy Award (oh wait, he doesn’t have one of those) doesn’t give you the right to play ‘Words with Friends’ while everyone else on the plane powers downs their electronics.
I’ll admit that I did laugh when Alec suddenly appeared on SNL’s Weekend Update with Seth Meyers this weekend, spoofing the American Airlines pilot that kicked him off the plane. I was initially shocked but then I thought,”this totally figures!” This was Alec’s way of trying to make light of the situation – without poking fun at himself. Yep, it was easier for him to ignore the fact that he was a total douchebag on the American Airlines flight and make it out to seem like the pilot is an inbred instead. A win/win situation for him – AND he gets more press.
I want to like Alec Baldwin, I really do. I have said it before, the man is sexy and he is extremely talented. But when he does stuff like this it just tells me that Alec is one of those pompous bratty Hollywood types who think they are above things like the law and who usually get their way. Disappointing. Roses really smell like poo-oo-oo.

The Today Show spoke with a real American Airlines pilot about the controversy on Monday morning and he responded with: “I was disappointed that it was making light of something that’s fairly serious and also was poking fun at a group of employees that are very proud and a historic airline who are going through a tough period right now.”
