Queens Of the Stone Age Recording New Album

Queens Of The Stone Age

It’s been almost five years since rock band Queens of the Stone Age have caressed our ears with a new album, and that is just too darn long.

Lucky for QOTSA fans, because the group is back in the studio compiling a new album for the masses. The band posted on their Facebook page, “Yep. the Queens are deep into makin the new album. Locked away in the desert. & sh*t yeah. it. sounds. F**kin. killer.”

According to SPIN, back in May, singer Josh Homme told the BBC that their sixth album (since 2007’s Era Vulgaris), would be finished by late 2011. Regarding the album, Homme talked about how they aren’t really straying from their signature sound on the upcoming record. “We’re at a weird moment where we really don’t feel like we have anything to prove.” He adds, “We just want to play to the people that are into and we want to play right at them.”

Sounds good to me!

For a good time, listen to QOTSA’s “Make It Wit Chu” below!
