Sometimes it pays to be a dude. I mean, we can pee anywhere we want with the greatest of ease. We can eat whatever we want without being judged. We can make our own beef jerky and go on riverboat gambling trips. But most of all, no one ever questions our appearance. No one ever wonders if we had penis enhancements or lip injections or Botox. We just look how we look, and no one thinks twice. But if you’re a woman, you have to answer the doubters at all times, something Miley Cyrus is enduring right now.
The rumor mill has been cranked up full blast recently after Miley Cyrus appeared at the CNN Heroes Tribute, arm in arm with current beau Liam Hemsworth, with a plunging neckline that showed off all kinds of cleavage. It’s not good enough to think that maybe her dress offers up some tremendous push-up support or that the former Hannah Montana is sporting one hell of a bra. Nope, it must be breast implants.
Well, Miley Cyrus has taken to her Twitter account to deny those rumors and stake her claims that the boobs she’s got are all hers. “Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine. I wish they’d realize you don’t have to be fake to be beautiful!”
I’ve been a defender of Miley for quite some time, thinking she’s been overly criticized in the past due to her previous Disney line of work, but this is something different. What happens beneath Miley’s shirt is her own business, and she really shouldn’t even have to come out with a confirmation or a denial as to the realness of her body. Society makes me sad sometimes.
