Howard Stern is ‘America’s Got Talent’ New Judge!

Howard Stern is the new judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent

NBC has announced that controversial Howard Stern, the crazy shock-jock that people either love or hate, is the new judge on “America’s Got Talent.”

Via NBC’s press release:

Howard Stern will provide his feedback on the colorful array of hopeful future stars who are currently auditioning in major cities around the country for the show’s upcoming seventh season. Production of the live shows of “America’s Got Talent” also will be moving to New York, where Stern will continue to helm his SiriusXM radio program.

The announcement was made by Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC. “Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to ‘America’s Got Talent’ starting this summer,” said Telegdy. “He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”

But will he last? Howard Stern has NEVER been much of a mainstream guy and he has no filter. He hates being censored and likes to mix it up with the “bigwigs,” so I don’t really see this union lasting. I’ll admit though, I might actually watch the show if he is judging. I’ll also admit that I’ll probably tune out just as quickly, because a subdued/mainstream Howard Stern isn’t the Howard I like to be entertained by.

Howard should stick with radio. Besides with a face like that, radio, baby, radio.
