Bret Easton Ellis wants Scott Disick to potentially take the lead in another remake adaptation of his book American Psycho.
In this era of reboots and remakes, is there any surprise that AMERICAN PSYCHO is getting redone? Well, if there is, prepare yourself… because AMERICAN PSYCHO is getting redone. Lionsgate is moving forward with plans to do-over an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis book, which already saw Christian Bale in the lead role of Patrick Bateman before he started growling at everyone as Batman. Now, as to who might take the part this time… well, Ellis has some ideas of his own… and they involve a Kardashian… sorta.
Via his Twitter page, Easton threw down the gauntlet for one of two people to be at the head of AMERICAN PSYCHO. “I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of “American Psycho” unless it stars SCOTT DISICK or MILES FISHER.” So, on one hand, we have the young Tom Cruise look-alike, who’s starred in FINAL DESTINATION 5 and also had a role in Clint Eastwood’s J. EDGAR. And then we have Kourtney Kardashian’s baby’s daddy douchebag. Oh yeah… I can see this working out splendidly.
In defense of Fisher, he’s actually shown the ability to act before, even if he makes me think of RISKY BUSINESS Tom Cruise every time he appears in the frame. But Scott Disick…? That’s one of your TOP TWO choices…?!

Everytime I see Scott I think of American Psycho. If he can act it will be okay. His look is dead on.
Are you f-ing kidding me? Scott Disick is Patrick Bateman personified! It’s as though Ellis channeled Disick’s essence into the creation of that character… Ellis himself agrees at how accurate a fit the two are.
