If you happened to splurge a bit and bought a ticket to the “Watch The Throne” concert tour, in order to watch Jay-Z and Kanye West perform, prepare yourself to see something special on the night you experience their musical talents. Not only will you be watching an extraordinary show, you’ll be seeing one of those hip hop artists risking his life for you.
During a tour stop last night at the Tacoma Dome, Kanye West stopped the show following “All Falls Down,” because someone had thrown a business card onto the stage. Well, you can’t be throwing business cards on the stage when West performs. His show has cubes that go 20 feet in the air, and you can’t throw anything up there that might cause anyone to slip. After all, they’re all up there risking their lives. Hmmm… you had me with the whole “don’t want to slip and fall and bust my ass” reasoning, but then you had to go the “risking lives” route, and you just lost me. It made me wish someone might throw water or oil, something genuinely slippery up on the stage the next show, in order to get their money’s worth for those high ticket prices. I mean, if Kanye is really risking his life every night, for those prices, shouldn’t we at least get to see it? Who told you to incorporate 20-foot-high cubes into your show, dumbass?
In the heat of the moment though, Kanye West then wanted to throw out an entire section of front-row paying customers from the concert. It started out as four people, and then became a whole section of girls and guys before the culprit finally fessed up or was tattled on, and things kept rolling right along. However, you can hear from the crowds’ reaction to Kanye’s overreaction that even his fans are starting to realize he’s quite the douche.
