The Used have recently decided to end their business relationship with Warner Music, the record company they have successfully been a partner with for over a decade, and are having a ‘go’ at creating their own label.

The “screamo” band from Utah released a statement on December 15 (2011), telling their fans that they were “proud to announce the birth of Anger Music Group”, which they describe as an “inclusive art production company.”

Working with Hopeless Records (who helped bands like Thrice and Avenged Sevenfold gain success), The Used will be taking on the production of the band’s fifth album “Vulnerable” as their first project together.

About the upcoming album, singer Bert McCracken says (via Noisecreep), “‘Vulnerable’ is about taking one step back and two steps forward. The sound of the record is as evolved as it possibly could be, it maintains the same emotional integrity as the first record, yet it sounds like the future (and the future sounds bright). ‘Vulnerable’ is about taking a chance to let the real you shine. This record is for the outcasts, the misfits, the misunderstood, and the ones who have always dared to be themselves. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Looking forward to it!
