Axl Rose Serves Jury Duty Too

Axl Rose

Shortly after the 2011 Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy tour ended in late December, frontman Axl Rose began fulfilling his civic obligation by serving jury duty in a Santa Monica, California court.

Rose was summoned and appointed to serve a civil case that ended up lasting four days. It seems a lot of the time people dread those jury summons, but not Mr. Rose!

Seemingly intrigued by the legal process, he told People.com, “It was relatively painless. I was fortunate that everyone in the courthouse and jurors were all really great, plus I got to see daylight from a different prospect.”

This is so funny to me, as just the other day I randomly questioned myself if rock stars and celebrities were also required to serve jury duty. Of course I could have Googled it, but then my ADHD kicked right back in and I forgot all about it, as that question was replaced with God knows what.

Either way, it’s nice to hear the GNR singer actually satisfied his public service, just like the rest of us mere mortals are forced to…and with no attitude to boot. It’s a far stretch from the hissy fits he’s famous for.

I wonder if he looked at the condemned and announced, “Welcome to the jungle, baby. You’re gonna die!” LOL
