Whitney Houston is penniless…?
Despite her numerous smash hits, Grammys, and world renowned fame, Whitney Houston is one broke diva – or that’s the juice anyway.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Whitney is so broke that she has had to borrow money from friends just to make ends meet. Supposedly album companies have been fronting Whitney cash for her next album but with the completion date in limbo there’s no telling if she’ll have the money spent before the album is even released.
A source tells the online magazine that Whitney has no money after squandering her life’s savings on drugs and alcohol. ”Whitney’s fortune is gone … She might be homeless if not for people saving her. She is broke as a joke … She called someone to ask for $100.”
In 2009 the singer made a failed comeback that was very much hyped but ended up being a let-down to many fans who walked out of her concerts when her voice failed or she ran out of breath. Rumors have quietly buzzed the singer is still battling her drug demons, but she’s looking much healthier these days and has been busy working on Sparkle, so hopefully those are simply rumors.
Between the new album, the movie, the comeback tour, royalties and whatnot, I have a hard time believing she is “broke” – perhaps cash poor – but I doubt Whitney Houston is flat broke unless she is still hoovering her fortune through her nose. I mean, there was this blind item going around…
