Cynthia reveals her shaved head
Sex and the City‘s Cynthia Nixon revealed her newly shaved bald head on LIVE! With Kelly on Tuesday, shocking fans with her new look.
She didn’t shave her head bald just for kicks, she did it for a Broadway role. Nixon is starring in the upcoming show, Wit, where she plays a professor who battles breast cancer. The show’s premiere is Thursday at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in NYC. Nixon herself battled and beat breast cancer six-years ago.
I still remember when Demi Moore cemented her star in Hollywood by shaving her head for her G.I. Jane role, it was shocking back then, less shocking now to see someone do it, but as a woman I can imagine how difficult it must be to take that razor to your head. Not to mention how difficult it would be to lose your hair while actually facing cancer. My hats off to all you ladies who have had to endure such a thing.
Kudos to Cynthia Nixon for taking her work seriously and showing that hair doesn’t make the woman. Love her.
