Puscifer Debuts Video ‘Telling Ghosts’

Maynard James Keenan’s musical lovechild Puscifer 

When Maynard James Keenan explained their second album Conditions of My Parole as a musical version of “Twin Peaks in the desert”, he wasn’t joking, and you can visually see it in their new video “Telling Ghosts”.

With a David Lynchesque feel to it, the video combines footage of the band along with mystifying shots of a car zooming down a neon-lit road. It’s a perfect complement to the accompanying song, which focuses on Maynard’s strong vocals, while giving off some Tool and A Perfect Circle vibes.

When Maynard sings, “Electric fuzzy haze of regrets and dreams denied”, it seems to sum up the feel of the video, with the eerie and haunting presentation no one does better than the enigmatic frontman. Add to that harmonies provided by British singer and songwriter Carina Round, who has been on tour with the band, and you got a winner.
