Another day, another lawsuit for Eminem
It’s been reported that the rapper is being slapped with a $9 million lawsuit from a homeless man claiming he ripped off an idea from him that resulted in the2011 Chrysler “Born Of Fire” commercial that starred the “Lose Yourself” singer (click HERE to see it).
Stephen Lee Pieck filed the suit earlier this month in New York, while listing his address as “homeless”. In the papers, Pieck alleges that in September 2010, he had dinner with Christina Aguilera and her (then) husband Jordan Bratman at the Legal Seafood restaurant in White Plains New York, when he apparently pitched the idea for the “Born Of Fire” commercial to Eminem over the phone (Pieck says Aguilera handed him the phone to speak to him).
The lawsuit states, “I want the court to reward me a judgment in the amount of $9 million. I designed every aspect of the commercial and the commercial was stolen from me. In addition, I did not receive compensation in monetary terms for the work I did.”
I don’t really think much will come of this, but do find it odd that this guy has such specific details about the date, place, and the dinner with Aguilera, but then again, it’s been proven time and time again, that people can come up with some real elaborate lies in hopes to score it rich.
