As many of you know I love reality television. Love it. But I do have standards.

Believe it or not, I have never watched one episode of the Kardashians, not one. Same goes for Jersey Shore. Okay, I watched PART of one episode of Jersey Shore and was like, “Oh, F no…” Then there’s the one that really pisses me off - Toddlers & Tiaras. I’ve been able to watch one episode, and that was only because I was paralyzed by the shock at how so many parents are creating these little monsters and how it is encouraged in the pageant industry.

Friends who love T&T say to me, “Oh, I really hate it too, but I can’t help but watch! It’s like a trainwreck!” Honestly, anyone who watches Jersey Shore or the Kardashians usually will say the same thing as well. Then don’t watch it to begin with, I say. I get bombarded everyday as it is with Snooki and Kim every time they dye their hair, or are caught without makeup, or say something stupid. I don’t need to invite them into my home via the telly.

ANYWAY, back to Toddlers & Tiaras.

So, I don’t watch the show, but I do read the press coverage that the show gets. Yesterday Dr. Drew‘s publicist sent out some clips of “Honey Boo Boo Child” a 6-year-old pageant baby who has appeared on the show Toddlers & Tiaras. If you watch it, you know who I’m talking about, if you haven’t – you are about to learn. Dr. Drew had her and her mother on his show Lifechangers this week, but not for reasons you may be thinking.

What Honey Boo Boo Child wants, Honey Boo Boo Child GETS, and she’s not letting anything stand in her way…and when her mom has her gacked out on sugar (special “Go Go” juice) she’s like the Tasmanian Devil reborn.

Honey Boo Boo on Toddlers & Tiaras:

This poor girl’s mother is creating a monster. Living out her childhood fantasies through her daughter while stuffing her full of Redbull and Mountain Dew. Betcha by the time she is 12 she is Tubby Boo Boo Child and by 25 she’ll be Tubby Boo Boo ‘Won’t Move Out of the House’ Child. Honestly it’s mortifying to watch.

Honey Boo Boo Child (real name Alana) and her mother appeared on Lifechangers Thursday but it wasn’t to change their lives. Being as it’s a show by Dr. Drew you’d expect advice, a little counseling and some direction, right? But Dr. Drew didn’t give any of those things, instead the show played clips of Honey Boo Boo Child (the one at the top of this article) and even had the little girl perform on the show – in her infamous Daisy Dukes costume. Take a look for yourself:

Are we sure we are watching Lifechangers? Because it looks a hell of a lot more like Jerry Springer or Maury to me. You should be ashamed of yourself, Drew.
