Karl Lagerfeld Thinks Adele Is ‘Too Fat’

Karl Lagerfeld has a definite talent for fashion and has shown that in his work with Chanel and Fendi, but what he is best at is making senseless, disparaging remarks about pretty much anything and everything you could bring up in conversation with him, and this time he’s targeted Adele.

The 78-year-old fashion designer SHOVED his foot in his mouth when speaking with Metro Monday. When asked about his thoughts on singer Lana del Rey, Karl admitted, “I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” He then adds, “Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She’s not alone with implants.”

If that wasn’t enough, he then was asked about his views on women in Russia, where he says, “If I was a woman in Russia I would be a lesbian, as the men are very ugly,” adding, “There are a few handsome ones.”

His idea that people in magazines are “50% bimbo and 50% pregnant women” though struck me as a real winner, because coming from someone who has been extremely open about his love for pornography, prostitutes, and strippers, you’d think he would have no issues with ‘bimbos’, but maybe pregnant women, because they might not fit into that size 000 that he so admires.

As you have probably heard, this isn’t the first time the German fashion guru has made controversial statements. Back in 2009, he got some heat for saying that “no one wants to see curvy women”, while adding that it’s only fat women that are really hating on skinny models.

Other subjects ol’ Karl has had issues with include gay rights (he totally opposes gay rights – but isn’t he gay?!), and singer Seal’s skin, even saying that his skin “looks much better than his.” Plus, he has been an outspoken supporter of fur, for fashion’s sake of course, but also because if we didn’t slaughter innocent animals (or ‘beasts’ as he calls them) for their fur, they would come after us.  Yeah, awesome reasoning idiot.

Ugh this guys needs to get his mouth wired shut…like QUICKLY. Can I get an Amen??
