Katy Perry Finalizes Divorce

 Hollywood’s most amicable exes, Katy Perry and Russell Brand

Katy Perry and Russell Brand should win an award for having one of the fastest and most amicable Hollywood divorce settlements of all time.

Brand officially filed the papers on December 30th, and fast forward just six weeks (minus a day or two), and the megastar couple have already reached a settlement. Talk about an express divorce! Considering the amount of money and assets they needed to split up, that’s amazing.

Anyway, on Tuesday, the friendly couple filed court documents that stated they “have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”

As we reported Wednesday, even though Brand was entitled to half of Perry’s fortune under California law, he chose not to receive spousal support, which is impressive, as she’s said to be worth somewhere around $70 million.

Apparently, Katy was so relieved, that when she signed the court documents, she included a heart and a smiley face. Ha! Let this be a lesson to all who divorce in the future…be nice to each other!
