Whitney Houston dies 

Tragic news breaking just now, Saturday, February 11, 2012. Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster has confirmed that Whitney Houston is dead. Nothing is known about the location of death, or cause of death at this time, but I’d be willing to guess cocaine was somehow involved.

We will be bringing you updates on this terrible, terrible news as it breaks.

R.I.P. Whitney Houston, such a shame.

Update: Whitney’s body was discovered by her hairdresser around 3:30pm Saturday in her room at the Beverly Hilton. She was under water in the bathtub and was unresponsive and cold. EMTs performed CPR but to no avail. She was pronounced dead at 3:55pm. Sources say that Whitney and an entourage of friends partied at the hotel Friday night. Prescription drugs were found at the scene and may have played a part in her death.

    Fans of Whitney shouldn’t demand or require a public memorial. Fans and the media, rather, should use this tragedy as an educational opportunity to our youth. Although illegal drugs may not have been the cause of her death and as of now it is not conclusive that perscription drugs were the cause, we do know that her struggles with substance abuse. I personally believe that Whitney would want to educate up and rising teens and young adults in the dangers of using illegal and non-prescribed substances. It was a battle that she struggled with for so long and may have never beaten.
