Whitney Houston: Prescription Drug Death

Whitney Houston in her youth

We now know what killed Whitney Houston –  it was prescription drugs, and not drowning.

Whitney is believed to have been taking various prescription drugs, including Xanax, and drinking alcohol sometime before her death Saturday. The medical examiner’s office has determined that there was not enough fluid in her lungs to show that she had drowned. Whitney likely died before her body slid down into the bathtub.

She was discovered by, not a hairdresser as originally reported, but by her aunt Mary Jones. After laying out Whitney’s pre-Grammy party dress and leaving her to bathe, Mary returned after Whitney did not emerge from the bathroom for more than an hour.

In a bizarre twist, TMZ is reporting that Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, had a similar bathtub incident the night before, in the same hotel, on the same floor, where friends could not awaken her by banging on her door. Security was brought in and Bobbi Kristina was found passed out in the tub. She has since been hospitalized twice since her mother’s death and is said to possibly be suicidal.

Gossip rags are wasting no time sinking their meathooks into Whitney Houston‘s dark side. The Daily Beast has this tasteless piece about how Whitney Houston was a lesbian and how she had an affair with everyone from Jodie Foster to Kelly McGillis and that she only married Bobby Brown as a beard. Their article has no firm sources, no proof, but it pieces tiny tidbits together and tries to make something of it. Whitney’s body isn’t even cold yet, douchebags. Jeez.

Whitney’s body is set to be flown to Atlanta where her mother Cissy is preparing funeral arrangements.
