Bobby Brown Banned: Whitney’s Funeral (UPDATED)

Whitney Houston’s family doesn’t want Bobby in the house 

Bobby Brown is said to be “distraught” after learning that he has not been invited to his ex-wife’s funeral on Saturday.

The funeral, set to take place in Newark, New Jersey at Whitney’s childhood church. But not only is Whitney Houston‘s family not inviting Bobby, word has it they will turn him away if he shows up to pay his respects. This according to anonymous “sources,” so we’ll have to wait and see if there’s any truth to it.

Despite his daughter Bobbi Kristina suffering a breakdown and being hospitalized twice, Bobby has not seen her since he arrived back in Los Angeles last weekend – but not by choice. Again, sources claim that Cissy Houston and family are keeping him from doing so. He flew back into town specifically to be with his grieving daughter but Cissy is making it impossible for him to communicate with her. She’s allegedly hated him for, well, ever.

I understand that Cissy must be living a nightmare right now, but keeping Bobbi Kristina from her father is just simply not humane, not to mention banning him from Whitney’s funeral. Everyone is grieving right now and they all must be in shock, but the girl needs her father right now, no matter what Cissy might think of him. I see this will manifest itself into a huge, ugly, family ordeal that’s probably only just beginning. Bobbi Kristina has a long, rough road ahead and what she needs right now is strong family support, not drama and bitterness. Why add to the grief?

Bobby Brown’s camp claims the singer has been contacted and will be attending the funeral. It also sounds like Bobby has had contact with his daughter and he has released a statement saying that she is doing much better since her hospitalizations. More at Yahoo.
