Adele’s new digs may be haunted

There are two types of people in the world, some that believe in ghosts, and others who do not, and apparently Adele is part of the former group.

The 23-year-old megastar has reportedly stopped sleeping at her new digs because she is convinced the place is haunted.

According to The Sun, Adele has moved her female driver into her house to serve as a 24-hour bodyguard, and was heard saying (to a friend), “I’m not rattling around here on my own. It gives me the creeps.”

It seems the “Rolling In The Deep” singer got freaked out when she began “hearing things that made her jump”, at which point she swore off sleeping alone there from then on.

The 25-acre West Sussex mansion, which she purchased in February for a cool $11 million, is said to feature 10 bedrooms, a tennis court, two swimming pools, and a helicopter-landing pad…oh, and a private chapel, because the property was formerly a convent.

“Adele was so excited to be renting such a lavish property but it has not turned out as happily as it should have,” says a friend of hers, adding, “She is convinced it is haunted. She knows about its religious history — and it’s a big place to be in on your own in the dead of night.” Ummm, ya think?!

I definitely believe in ghosts and spirits, and I actually like to ‘ghost hunt’ when I travel. I love to find places with a history that have been reported to have paranormal activity, and just check them out. I don’t carry an EMF detector or anything, but I do like to visit said places. Anyway, that being said, I would NEVER want to live in a house that was built on an Indian burial ground, a former insane asylum, or anywhere that used to be a convent. It’s surprising she knew about this and still chose to live there!
