The crazy family is coming back to television
The fun-loving, wacky family is returning to television, animation-style, for their new show called The F’n Osbournes. Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly have teamed up with Toronto-based animation company Cuppa Coffee Studios to record the voices for the stop-animation versions of themselves for the 20-episode run.
Talking about the collaboration, mom Sharon Osbourne (and executive producer of the show) said, “Teaming up with Cuppa Coffee has spawned a great opportunity to produce a unique animated prime-time show. I’ve been excited about animating our often crazy lives for a while now.” Son Jack (who also helped produce the series) describes the experience as “a radical and humorous new spin on our family.”
Although animated, the whimsical cartoon, which will launch sometime in April, is “certainly not one for little kids,” warns Cuppa Coffee founder Adam Shaheen.
I’m interested to check this one out. It makes sense to make a cartoon out of the family because they are all caricatures of themselves anyway. Plus, I remember loving the heck out of The Osbournes back in the day, and was bummed when they decided to call it quits. As I remember, it was one of the first reality television shows I was introduced to, and sort of began my lifelong love of reality-based programming. I can’t believe it’s actually been a decade since the show premiered (it aired from 2002-2005). Time flies!
