Rihanna’s father had some nasty things to say about his daughter recently
RiRi’s (sometimes-estranged) pops, Ronald Fenty, sat down with Heat magazine to talk about how he feels about Chris Brown three years after he brutally assaulted his daughter. Here’s an excerpt from the interview obtained by the New York Post: ”Chris is a nice guy, and everybody’s entitled to make mistakes in their life,” he said, “God knows how many I’ve made.”
Apparently one of Fenty’s “mistakes” involve past issues of domestic violence he had with Rihanna’s mother. Hmm. For some reason, using the word ‘mistake’ to explain an act of domestic violence or any form of violence (not to mention the savage attack Rihanna endured at Brown’s hands), just doesn’t give the deed justice. It doesn’t ring right and deserves a more fitting word, something bigger, you know?
Anyway, concerning the way Rihanna seemed to forgive Brown and allow him back into her life, Fenty approves, saying, “She’s her own woman now.”
For the “Dad of the Year” remark of the interview, Fenty goes on to talk about his daughter’s weight, which at times can worry him. Talking about seeing his daughter a few months he points out, “I actually thought she was a little fat the last time I saw her.” No worries though, folks, because he goes on to say upon seeing her at his year’s Grammys, he now approves.
“When I saw her at this year’s Grammys, I thought she was back to her normal size,” he stated. “I used to joke with her, ‘Robyn, you’re getting too fat.’ But I think she’s fine. I think she looked excellent, as everyone saw, at the Grammys. She’s dieting; she’s working out.”
Wow, dad is obviously blind because, and correct me if I’m wrong, but Rihanna is not a big girl. Jeez. Talk about ‘daddy issues’. Stay strong Rihanna.
