“Have You Seen Molly?” Asks Madonna

Madonna has received a scathing review from progressive house DJ Deadmau5 after asking the crowd at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, “Have you seen Molly?”

The term basically means, have you taken MDMA, or “ecstasy”.  Madonna randomly threw in the question between songs, and between thoughts. It was kind of weird really, and out of place, except for the fact that her new album is named, MDNA, so we get it, Madonna is on an amphetamine roll. Whereas in the past she’s been immersed herself in different cultures, looks and behaviors, her newest unhealthy obsession is the euphoric club drug.

One person who has taken note of Madonna’s new drug endorsement is Deadmau5, who took to his Facebook account to rant about Madge’s glorification of MDMA, or “Molly” as she likes to call it. He wrote:

“very classy there madonna. “HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???” such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra. quite the f’n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f**king cant smack my head hard enough right now.”

The comment brought feedback from both Deadmau5 and Madonna fans, but many seemed to be in support of Deadmau5. He continued in a later post:

“seriously, i giveth not a f**king single F**K for slating on madonna for reaching an entirely NEW level of idiocy … i can appriciate her meteoric career, and all good deeds done, but WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT? That’s your big contribution to EDM? Thats your big message to ultra attendies? hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? f**k off you f**king IDIOT. f**k.”

I’ll be honest, I am eating this up like freshly caught sashimi right now. Madonna ranting about MDMA and Molly-what-the-hell ever, was totally bizarre. Deadmau5 is right, it’s something you would expect from a newbie rockstar on Day 4 of a bender, not the number one recognized living pop star in the world. But Madonna is frantically gripping those arthritic fingers of hers around the balls of pop culture and she’s not letting go anytime soon. The smell of Ben Gay and desperation are getting thick up in here and Madonna’s bag o’ tricks is getting low.
