Mary J. Blige Sells Out for Burger King

Is this what you’d expect from a diva? 

Wow, Mary J. Blige singing about Burger King’s new Chicken Snack Wraps …. I’m speechless.

“Exciting things are happening at Burger King…” the commercial starts out. Then Mary J. Blige, ears perked, hears a customer ask about a new item on the menu. She yells out, “What’s in the new chicken wraps!” then begins singing a song (while hiding behind her sunglasses, because, I would be too) while on top of some sort of laminate wood paneled … what is that? A booth? The trash bin/place where you put your dirty trays? What IS that? Am I watching SNL right now? Is Andy Samberg behind this? This can’t be real, right?

Oh, but it is!

Isn’t Mary J. Blige loaded? What the hell is she doing making this awful commercial for Burger King? Did they pay her $10M or something? And just look at what she’s peddling! A deep-fried chicken stick with fake, nacho cheese gooped over it, wrapped in a flour tortilla! I mean, BARF!
