Anne Hathaway was spotted Saturday night leaving The Box nightclub in New York rocking a super cute pixie cut.

The actress, who visited the nightspot with fiancé Adam Shulman, reportedly chopped off her long brunette locks for her Les Miserables role as Fantine. In the movie, Hathaway plays a factory worker who’s forced into prostitution in order to support her child.

This apparently has been one demanding project for the 29-year-old, seeing as she’s not only had to cut her hair off, but also go on what some would call a ‘starvation diet’. In order to lose 16 pounds, Hathaway has been consuming around 500-calories-a-day. Gah, the poor girl must be in the bitchiest of moods. I feel for her, but then again, how much is she making for the role? Oh yeah. It’s worth it.
