Dita Von Teese’s Dog ‘Eva’ Missing (Updated)

Dita Von Teese’s Dachshund Eva has gone missing

My heart sank after reading a tweet Dita Von Teese sent out last night.

The burlesque queen posted a message to her Twitter followers Monday night saying, “My dog Eva is missing, if anyone in Los Feliz/LA sees her, email Cali@dita.net. Good thoughts for her return are also appreciated”, along with a link to a picture of the pooch.

From what I’ve read, Eva is a 16-year-old, red-haired Dachshund. I believe she’s always been with Dita, and from what I remember; she was one of Dita’s pets with Marilyn Manson, when the two were married. In any case, she means the world to Dita, like all pet owners feel about their pets. They are like our children!

Fingers crossed Eva shows up safe and sound. In the meantime, we’re sending positive thoughts Dita’s way.

UPDATE: Dita has since tweeted that Eva has died, but she does not say how. She is obviously very heartbroken. “My beloved Eva passed on tonight. Thank you for all your kind words. It means a lot to me.”
