Katy Perry Goes From Blue To Violet

Katy Perry’s hair and scalp must hate her…boy, do they go through a beating.

In a year’s time, Perry has had five hair color transformations, going from black, to blond, to bubblegum pink, to smurfy blue, and now to violet.

The 27-year-old singer debuted the bright hue at this weekend’s Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. Some are calling it a bright blue color, and maybe it is and I’m colorblind, but to me, it looks purple(ish).

In January, when Perry premiered her blue ‘do, her colorist Rita Hazan told Us Weekly, “She wanted to go this particular color blue for a few weeks now. Katy is the ideal client because she loves to be creative and unpredictable with her look.”

Perry’s lucky to have the type of face and style to pull of these wacky hair colors, and really, she’s in the perfect business for it. It works for her, but I still think black suits her best. Thoughts?
