Dick Clark is Dead at 82

Dick Clark has died 

A sad day in Hollywood today, the one and only Dick Clark has died at the age of 82.

Often referred to as “America’s Oldest Teenager,” Mr. Clark died of a massive heart attack at his home on Wednesday morning.

Best known for American Bandstand and his New Year’s Rocking Eve specials, Dick Clark was one of the most recognized faces in the business. Many of us who grew up in the 1970s fondly remember American Bandstand as the MTV before MTV. Besides the talent, the dancing crowd was always hysterical to watch and when you think about it, it was the closest thing we had to “reality tv” at the time.

Dick is survived by his wife and three children. Rest in peace, D.C.!
