Donna Summer Has Died

Donna Summer, legendary disco queen of the late 70s and early 80s, has died after losing her battle with cancer.

She was 63.

The five time Grammy winner died in Florida on Thursday. She is survived by her husband of 32 years and her three children.

Donna was known as “The Disco Queen” and will likely forever hold that title. She was born one of seven children and grew up in Boston. After  discovering international stardom she suffered a breakdown in 1979 and had become addicted to prescription meds. Soon after she found religion and decided to never perform her biggest hit, “Love to Love You Baby” ever again. Her vow lasted about 25 years before she performed the song live again, and yes, she even included those sultry moans and groans when she did.

Rest in peace, hot mama. You are a hard act to follow.

Donna Summer’s “Love to Love You Baby”, the long version….it’s pure sex for your ears!
