Van Halen Postpone Tour, They’re Tired.

Van Halen have postponed the 31 remaining tour dates of their much anticipated and hyped 2012 Tour, surprising younger fans, but not the older fans who half expected it to end like this.

The band claims that they are simply burned out and that they need to “recharge their batteries” before continuing on. They insist that rumors of a spat between Diamond Dave and Eddie Van Halen are just that, rumors. Dave addresses the canceled tour dates in a new VIMEO clip, saying that the band is getting along “famously” but have “bitten off more than we can chew when it comes to scheduling.”

One person who isn’t surprised with Van Halen tour date cancelations is former front man of the band, Sammy Hagar. ”They’re hard people to get along with, those brothers . . . Otherwise I’d still be in the band.”

Celebrity Smack gave away Van Halen tickets a few months ago and our winner told us that she loved seeing Van Halen and thought the show was great, but also mentioned that David Lee Roth forgot the lyrics mid-song then joked about it.

No word on when the shows will be rescheduled but Mr. Roth is insisting Van Halen WILL make the stops in all cities affected – if they remember.
