Whatcha Gonna Do? Burt on America’s Got Talent

America’s Got Talent has its very own William Hung 2.0, or perhaps even its own “Pants on the Ground.”

Introducing Burton Crane, a 77-year-old contestant on America’s Got Talent who won the hearts of audience members and judges (including Howard Stern) on Monday night’s show, advancing him to the finals in Las Vegas. Burt says he has been rapping since 1972, and calls himself the “Grandfather of Rap.”

Equipped with his Casio synthesizer while wearing a white suit and hat, Burt’s cathy little chorus of “Whatcha Gonna Do,” caught on with the audience after they initially booed him.

Sure, he might be corny and all, but any 77-year-old who is willing to get onstage and rap is alright with me. Watch Burt on America’s Got Talent singing “Whatcha Gonna Do?”  . . . or whatever its called.
