Josh Homme Advertises Scissor Sisters Album With Funny Infomercial

There is no better way to advertise your new glam-pop disco album than with a fake, cheeky infomercial starring none other than Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme!

To help his fellow musician amigos the Scissor Sisters, Homme created a spoof infomercial to promote their fourth studio album Magic Hour, which comes out Monday (May 28).

In the brief skit Homme tells the audience the album is “dedicated to get you on the dance floor and keep you on the dance floor. Forever.” He explains the record as a “combination of rhythm and romance like you’ve never heard before”.

Scissor Sisters’ leading man Jake Shears describes the record like this: It’s a sweet joyful mélange of beat-driven future-pop. It style-hops all over the place unabashedly.” It also features appearances by Pharrell Williams, Diplo, BoysNoize’s Alex Rihda, among others.
