Madonna Mashes Up “Express Yourself” with “Born This Way”

And so the catfight drama (seemingly one-sided) continues…would we have it any other way?

If she’s not having a bicker fest with Elton John or his husband, Madonna likes to pick on a little pop star named Lady Gaga, who she says is obviously obsessed with her. Unfortunately for Madge, her constantly reminding us how much Gaga rips her off makes her seem like she is in fact that one that’s obsessed with her.

Anyway, the Huffington Post has reported that, during a concert in Israel while on her MDNA tour, Madonna broke into Gaga’s “Born This Way” while singing “Express Yourself”. As you may have heard, a lot of people (especially Madonna) have pointed out the many similarities between the two songs. According to the Queen of Pop herself, she found Gaga’s version of her song “reductive” and basically a rip-off of “Express Yourself”.

I don’t know about you guys and gals, but the passive aggressive way Madonna goes about reminding all of us about how Gaga is a style and music thief, just rubs me the wrong way. If she actually went about it with more ease and class, even if it means ignoring the whole thing, I think she’d get her point across better. But doing it in this manner just makes her look like an insecure, miserable woman that is so afraid to get older and in her eyes, become irrelevant. She should give herself more credit.
