Kat Von D Sued For Causing House Fire

If you recall, back in 2010, Kat Von D had the horrible experience of having her house burn down with her beloved cat Valentine inside, and now she’s going to have to relive that tragedy because she’s being sued for it two years later.

TMZ says that State Farm Insurance covered the $900k bill initially, but after some sort of investigation, they’re claiming the whole thing was her fault. Supposedly, she set the Hollywood Hills home on fire by carelessly leaving several candles lit in there. Now they’re taking her to court and asking for the nearly million dollars back. So far there’s been no word from her camp on the matter.

Wow, this whole thing is a bummer. Obviously, it wasn’t the brightest idea for Kat to leave candles burning unattended, if that’s indeed what she did, but if so, it’s not like she did it on purpose. It was an accident, and a very, very devastating and expensive one.
