Sheryl Crow Has a Benign Brain Tumor

A month after forgetting the lyrics to one of her songs during a concert in Florida, singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow revealed that she has a brain tumor.

She spoke to the Las Vegas Review about it and said that she’s not worried because it’s benign. In fact, she told her story with a smile.

“I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI . . . and I found out I have a brain tumor. And I was, like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.’”

This isn’t the first time Sheryl has battled cancer either. Six years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which she beat. Regarding her recent diagnosis Sheryl said, “I haven’t really talked about it. In November, I found out I have a brain tumor. But it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it. But it gives me a fit.”

While singing “Soak Up the Sun” onstage May 5th, Sheryl forgot her lyrics mid-song. “I’m 50, what can I say? My brain’s gone to sh!t.”

It seems she wasn’t playing around.
