Miley Cyrus Engaged to be Married to Liam Hemsworth

We knew Miley Cyrus was in a big rush to grow up, but we didn’t know she was going to run to the altar so quickly!

Cyrus, 19, and her boyfriend of three years (that’s like dog years at that age) hottie Liam Hemsworth are engaged to be married, their publicist has confirmed. Miley told PEOPLE magazine: ”I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam!” He proposed to Miley with a whopping 3.5-carat, 18K gold Neil Lane diamond ring.

The couple met while filming The Last Song and have been an item ever since.

Miley was spotted with what some suspected might be an engagement ring in March, it looks like their suspicions were correct.

Ms. Cyrus tweeted thanks to her many fans on Twitter this morning: “Thank you for all the love today. I’m happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true.”

I’d like to say congratulations to the couple but I also can’t help but wonder why they are in such a rush to get married. There’s a whole lotta life ahead of you at 19-years-old, and even though you think you are an adult, in hindsight when you get older you realize what an absolute child you were at that age. Should we start placing our bets on how long this one will last now?
